The fact that everyone is going gaga for signal as "the BEST messaging app" should be a big red flag in and of itself, because hype trains like this aren't organic, just saying.
Having the announcements simulcast in multiple places is probably a good idea since it makes it more redundant in case one service isn't working properly.
