What do people here think about Nostr? (kbin.social)

It seems like it would help further prevent censorship, given how each instance of the Fediverse is run by people who can unilaterally decide what their users see. I'm beginning to feel like federation is but a half-step toward a solution.

I think any public forum on the internet without some degree of limitation devolves into idiocy and hatred.

Yeah. No "censorship" typically just tells hate mongers that they're free to be hateful with zero consequences.
