Life pro tip: Setup your computer as if you were from a European country, it solves most of the annoying issues.

Is this still the way to get a windows installation done without linking your device to a microsoft account?

It's easy to do so but it's a fatal mistake if you foolishly put in your email.

Last I did it you have to press a key combination to open a terminal and run a couple of commands at the right stage of the wizard to do so

Doesn't matter, I'm in Canada, all our computers (four of them) are setup as if we were in the UK
