https://lemmy.world/c/196 Probably the best since the owner of lemmy.world plans to scale the server to keep up with traffic.

https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/c/196 This one is currently mentioned in the reddit pinned post but I fear that the server can't keep up with the load.

https://lemmy.ml/c/196 The lemmy.ml owners themselves said to use other instances (they might also be tankies which ppl won't like).

At least for me the site seems very unresponsive right now, new posts aren't loading correctly and I'm getting timeouts (probably just overloaded).

As far as I've read lemmy.blahaj.zone was originally just a personal testing site for its owner so that's why I'm concerned that the server load would be too much, no idea how high the costs would be if they kept up with the demand.

The lemmy.world owner already has experience with hosting https://mastodon.world so I would expect this instance to continue to be able to keep up.

ig crossposting is the best approach for now until things settle...

https://blahaj.zone already have experience hosting a fedi instance, they have a calckey instance running.

it is holding up surprisingly well, though I am definitely experiencing issues.
