I believe we are witnessing the demise of religious institutions. Attendance numbers are in decline all over the world. The fear mongers and zealots are screaming as loudly as they can. Spirituality if you choose, is a personal journey and experience, no priest, imam, rabbi or other “instructor” can know your own experience. Opposition to norms is falling away world wide. Trust in these institutions is falling away. And old sutra says, all structures are unstable, the larger the structure the more unstable, and will crumble as the sand castle on the shore. Take heart, maybe not in our lifetime, but it is coming.
