I noticed earlier today that @picard@mas.to post about Sweet Darusya isn't showing on calckey and neither is another post by @toni@lemmy.blahaj.zone. It turns out that if you put a link into URL field when making a new post, it might not show outside lemmy. It means that anyone who follows the group on calckey will not see them and therefore can not boost.

@I_Like_Books @toni @dana Sorry, I meant when I reply using my Lemmy account. In theory you don't need one to reply - like we just did now from Mastodon. But if you want to make longer replies or for other reasons you might use one. The group should boost any replies, and you can then boost those in Mastodon to spread if you want. I think this whole thing is kind of a work in progress though - in general we're not used to working with software with so many quirks, but we'll get there 😊
