it matters. one is an accelerationist the other is a conservative of the status quo. neither are going to improve anything but one will try his most to destroy any confidence.

one will try his most to destroy any confidence

Talking about Biden? You know, the one currently supporting a genocide? I'd think that counts as trying "his most to destroy any confidence"

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 15 points 9 months ago

Damn you really destroyed my comment there 😔

[-] Franconian_Nomad@feddit.de 3 points 9 months ago

I don’t have to destroy your comment. Everyone with half a brain already knows that you‘re talking bullshit.

Arguing with people like you is just a waste of time.

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 12 points 9 months ago
[-] Franconian_Nomad@feddit.de 5 points 9 months ago

Yeah, sorry. Everyone who thinks Trump and Biden are the same, has no political education and or is blinded by ideology. And has, simply put no eyes in his head.

You’re an idiot. And you’re little downvote brigade changes nothing about that.

[-] Nudding@lemmy.world 12 points 9 months ago

Are you voting for genocide and climate apocalypse or genocide and climate apocalypse?

[-] Franconian_Nomad@feddit.de 4 points 9 months ago

Congratulations. You have simplified complex politics too such a degree that it fits in your narrative. First off, I don’t vote in this case, because I’m not American. Second, I still would vote for the person who didn’t try a fucking insurrection.

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 10 points 9 months ago

...but would vote for someone committing a genocide? I think your balance is a bit off there

[-] Franconian_Nomad@feddit.de 1 points 9 months ago

Hey bro, you are aware of US Politics, right? You know that the US has always supported Israel, right???

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 10 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Slavery was abolished in the US in the year 1865

People in 1864: "Hey bro, you are aware of US Politics, right? You know that the US has always had slaves, right???"

[-] Nudding@lemmy.world 9 points 9 months ago

Also one minor nitpick, slavery is alive and well in the US, it was never abolished. You guys will figure it out some day.

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 6 points 9 months ago

True, it's still very much practiced in US prisons. Should've specified "officially" ig.

[-] bamboo@lemm.ee 5 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Prison slavery is very official. It’s carved out as legal in the constitution, and it is pretty out in the open. The main thing is that we use a bunch of euphemisms to make the slavers and beneficiaries feel less bad about themselves, but they don’t hide it.

[-] Nudding@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

No worries, not my country either so I honestly don't know what I'd do in that situation. Third party probably.

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 8 points 9 months ago

Only real option in the US (and most capitalist countries tbf) is joining a leftist org outside the system that aims to take control over it altogether like FRSO or PSL imo. Aka educate, organize, agitate.

Capitalist political systems are designed to prevent any leftward movement (if anyone in power does try to, like JFK for wanting to abolish the CIA and giving an anti-colonial speech, they are assassinated and replaced), so working inside it is mostly meaningless. They can only shift further to the right.

Hey apparently I'm a part of your brigade. Do I get paid or something now? Maybe even just some hashbrowns?

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 5 points 9 months ago

You get to attend my little brigade party! :D

Yes there will be hashbrowns

[-] Franconian_Nomad@feddit.de 3 points 9 months ago
[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 6 points 9 months ago

There was a little grammatical error you missed here friend

And you’re little downvote brigade changes nothing about that

[-] Franconian_Nomad@feddit.de 2 points 9 months ago

Dude! Dude!!!!!

Are you trying to tell that it’s actually „your an idiot“????

AHAAAHAAHAAAAA!!!!!!

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 9 points 9 months ago

Uhh that's not the part I quoted

[-] explodicle@local106.com 7 points 9 months ago

"Everyone in this thread is an idiot but me"

[-] Nudding@lemmy.world 9 points 9 months ago

Hahaha tell us how you really feel.

[-] Franconian_Nomad@feddit.de 2 points 9 months ago

I feel like I’m surrounded by idiots.

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 7 points 9 months ago

Hey at least we know where you got it from 🫂

[-] Franconian_Nomad@feddit.de 1 points 9 months ago

Hey bruh! Genuine question:

How does it feel to be a useful idiot for Putin and to live inside his anus?

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 6 points 9 months ago

I wouldn't know that sorry.

[-] Chakravanti@sh.itjust.works 4 points 9 months ago

You're all a bunch of suckers. There is no side to avoid tyrrany. Six one way half a dozen the other.

Doesn't matter. Everyone will die by 2030 and that doesn't even count Nukes.

[-] Nudding@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

It'll take longer than 2030 but yeah pretty much.

[-] Chakravanti@sh.itjust.works 3 points 9 months ago

Only if we do fucking anything to stop what we've already done and are doing at as massive an exponentially increasing rate.

You're wrong. If it ain't the baking this planet conduct then it'll be a virus, bio- or tech- cuz it don't matter, AI etc.

[-] Nudding@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

It would have to be global crop failure and famine followed by total nuclear war in order to achieve that. So maybe you're right, guess we'll see.

[-] Chakravanti@sh.itjust.works 2 points 9 months ago

Nuke not necessary and we won't be able to see it cuz that kind of part of the definition of its occurance.

[-] Nudding@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago
[-] Nudding@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

Everybody feels that way.

[-] porcariasagrada@slrpnk.net 3 points 9 months ago

germany is doing the same. so i guess confidence isn't being destroyed between those two. but is was talking about the american isolationist trump.
