Welcome to /c/tumblr, a place for all your tumblr screenshots and news.
Keep it civil. We're all people here. Be respectful to one another.
No sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other flavor of bigotry. I should not need to explain this one.
Must be tumblr related. This one is kind of a given.
Try not to repost anything posted within the past month. Beyond that, go for it. Not everyone is on every site all the time.
No unnecessary negativity. Just because you don't like a thing doesn't mean that you need to spend the entire comment section complaining about said thing. Just downvote and move on.

Whats the significance of the last image? Is it a reference to something?
It's not exactly an appropriate use of the meme.
The original meme is a stock photo of 4 girls, 3 of them labeled "random internet users just trying to be comedic" and the fourth one labelled "apollo", preparing to throw a red dodgeball labeled "the gift of prophecy". It is meant to be used for when someone is just jokingly predicting batshit insane future events, and apollo, the trickster god he is, makes them right.
Examples include a Tumblr user going "can't wait for the opening scene of the Cruella movie where we find out dalmatians murdered her parents leaving a theater in Gotham city", before the movie was out. When it turned out that the opening scene really has cruella's mother being pushed off a cliff by dalmatians, other users began posting the image.
On this post though, it seems it's being used as a monkey paw stand-in, but it doesn't really make sense. Apollo's dodgeball isn't really a "your wish but in the worst way possible", it's "you though you were being funny predicting dumbass shit but actually".
I think it has to do with the shenanigans around Xitter and Reddit, making Tumblr relatively better
Thanks for the explanation. I must be getting old.
I'm 19 and I did not get this either
