In summer 2020 the neighbour hand raised an abandoned starling fledgling who then decided the entire street was his best friend, and demanded we take him for a car ride every day. Vito. (lemmy.world)

Funny that we wish we could fly, and all he wanted to do was ride in a car. Truly the grass is greener on the other side

He adored the car and would sit on top of it and yell in the morning when it was time for my husband to drive me to work. You never realized that you could recognize a bird's individual voice but you absolutely can.
