In a speech to the supreme people’s assembly Kim said he no longer believed unification was possible and accused the South of attempting to foment regime change and promote unification by stealth.
The state-run KCNA news agency said on Tuesday that #NorthKorea would close three agencies that oversee unification and inter-Korean tourism.

#SEOUL, Jan. 17 (Yonhap) -- #SouthKorea on Wednesday imposed independent sanctions on 11 vessels and five individuals and entities engaged in illegal ship-to-ship transfers of oil and other products to #NorthKorea, tightening the sanctions against the North's maritime activities.
It also marks the first designation of sanctions on ships by the South Korean government in nearly eight years, the ministry said.
