How can I move a Dave the Diver save? (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

I downloaded Dave the Diver from fitgirl the other day and have decided I want to buy it from steam. Is it as simple as copying the save folder/file? I looked it up, the only thing I found was someone currupting both versions of the game. I really don't want to lose my progress, I've already played for around 10 hours.

that should work, just make sure you copy the save file instead of moving it incase it doesn't work
