It's not true, though, you understand? It's just a punch line. He doesn't really think being trans is the same as pretending to be Asian.

“Joke’s on you, I was only pretending to be a bigot” while being surrounded by and supported by bigots isn’t a great argument that you are in fact not a bigot. 🤷‍♂️
