What principals? That we're selfish? I pirate shit all the time but it's not out of any sort of righteousness, I'd just rather get something for free than pay for it if the option is there.
For me this REALLY depends on the thing in question. If I want to support the creators then I pay for it. I basically only pirate stuff that I already own, or have otherwise paid for in some other way.
It's not exclusively about that. I'll install cracks for software I own just to be free of obtrusive and resource stealing drm.
