Dear lemmings, what app do you use for calls? (self.asklemmy)

So my default app for phonecalls doesn't have spam filter or any info on callers. I downloaded truecaller, but it has a lot of ads. Ive been getting a lot more spam calls lately and i want to get a good app to separate important stuff from useless spam what do you recommend?

Also what are your funny stories messing with spam callers?

I just leave my phone on do-not-disturb and set it to allow calls from my contacts to ring through. Everyone else rings silently and then goes to voicemail.

Of the 37 calls I've received since Monday, only 2 were legitimate (friends on my contacts list). Didn't even get a voicemail message from any of the 37 who went to voicemail.
