Why does it take 13 years to come forward though? I don't mean this in a way to disparage the alleged victim, but that's a really long time. I'd understand a couple weeks, months, or even a year or two. But it seems really odd to way such a long time to come forwy. Why now?

Everyone's individual reaction is different. They could've spent literal years in denial or shame or any number of things. They could just be coming to terms with it now.

Think about people still dragging around their childhood trauma and all that. It just takes time to process things, more so if society doesn't really prioritize people talking about those types of trauma.

But, ya know, let the courts figure that out and all.

I also don't have an answer why that long. That's why I fully support an investigation, to find the real facts, like I said I need more evidence to make up my mind, did she falsely accuse him or did they cover this up and only now has she got the legal backing and courage.
