Found this Ukraine focused group that seems a bit better established...

Hmm. What do you think about it?

On the one hand, I have enjoyed working with you both and doing what little I can to help this group grow.

But in general I'm in favour of not splitting communities - the more people in one place, the more power there is?

@I_Like_Books@strangeobject.space I don't think you need multiple accounts. I am following this group from Calckey, Lemmy and Friendica, but you can just do it with one. In Calckey you just see the new posts and replies in your timeline as they are posted. In Lemmy you get to browse the threads, and some threads can be pinned to be at the top of the list. In Friendica it is similar to Lemmy, but old threads are not automatically imported, so when you first follow you see nothing. Presumably any thread that has activity will then appear in Friendica., once the federated servers sync.

@picard @toni I was wondering if I needed to create multiple accounts. From what has been shared it would mean having this one, one in Calckey
https://blahaj.zone
, Friendica
https://embers.social
, and Lemmy
https://lemmy.blahaj.zone
each)

I think we can make this group grow, but ALSO we should all follow the other group. That way there is no split. That other group is on a different server, so our group may reach servers that server isn't federated with, either right now, or sometime in the future.

That makes sense. The other group seems quite focused on the war commentary type stuff too - stuff I find interesting and important too, but does mean there's not a 100% overlap with the intentions here.

This group is current mainly focused on raising awareness and calls to action for helping Ukraine in its war against Russia's colonialist aggression. To this end we also encourage as secondary focus:
