Someone from leadership let it slip that there will be no payrises this year since the business is struggling. That’s fine… except I’m still being paid the same wage despite having a huge increase in responsibilities. Yeah, nah to that. This is what I get for being nice.

And that same wage is buying you a lot less than it did last year. They can't be surprised if people end up leaving from that decision. Maybe they're counting on it, if the business is struggling...

They've already done a round of redundancies and it's stretched the team way too thin, so IDK if they're hoping more people will leave.

Yeah, I reckon so. I missed a chat with a recruiter a last week but have sent a follow up email in case there's still a chance. Even just to get an idea of what I'm worth.
