There's a nice bit at the beginning of Toy Story 1 where the shark wears Woody's hat. Just when they're getting out of the toy chest.
Is this the origin of the Orcas wearing hats mythology?
No. Google up Orca Salmon Hat for some serious irl weird. The Toy Story bit is an homage to Gary Larson (praise to his life and career) which is rare for Pixar. Not sure which @seagoon is referencing, or something else altogether.
