Mainlined s1 westworld again yesterday since i had the ceebs. Shoulda stopped at one and done, utter perfection.

S1 left a lot on the table, but s2 just totally failed to take the flag and run with it.

S2 felt made up of stuff cut from s1 - and s1 was the better for it being cut.

Agree. I didn't ever get past about s02e03. Couldn't hang out for the bull thing in the title sequence any longer.

the show looked beautiful, it had a great opening title and music, characters seemed to be ok, good actors, great ideas

the story sucked, I gave up half way thru S2 .

Westworld and American Gods both had beautifully crafted credits you could write goddamn dissertations on on their own and a perfect or near-as first season.

Then they both spectacularly shat the bed.

That was truly one of the best seasons of TV ever. S2 was patchy but mostly OK, s3 was horrific, and I don't even care about s4

Agreed. Imagine if it had ended with that revolt. Such a perfect build up and ending. S2 was a careless dog's breakfast, s3 was a different show entirely

Thanks I never even started s2. Glad I didn't waste my time
