Well, yeah, hello! I'm new here, just created my account, i have experience on the fediverse but lemmy is still pretty new to me.
I don't really know if i should be posting this here, sorry if not, but i cant think of somewhere that looks much better, but anyway i wanted to make a little question, like, the classic thing with android apps, i know it's everything on early development but like, after creating this account i was going to login on jeroba on my phone, but it said the instance needed to be at least on lemmy 0.18 in order to login there, i get that, but majority of instances don't seem to have updated yet too soo... what are all you guys doing while the update isn't here yet? i tried another app here (lemmur) but it couldn't even recognize the existence of this instance so whatever.
Well, what i wanted to know as i said was what are y'all doing, just using the web version, or maybe there is some other app that still works on 0.17.4?
Thanks for reading! :)
O-oh, so there's a right format to make posts That makes sense, i guess it gets annoying, sorry... I have this habit of rambling a lot when going to ask something and things like that but now I'll do my best in being more direct and use more objective titles (that's what it needs to be right?) Posting was something that i used to almost never do in reddit too so I'm not used to making proper posts, thanks a lot for the instructions!
You don't have to feel bad, but if you make some adjustments, it becomes easier for people to read and understand your point. As it was, scrolling past your post would be easy for those interested in your topic, simply because the first bit had nothing to do with the actual content.
Hmm, yeah i can see that, thank you
Why tf do you stutter in text
You mean the "O-oh"? Idk, i just, feel like if i don't put it there i won't be expressing myself properly. I've been occasionally doing this kind of thing on my more casual messages as far i can remember
Rambly posts aren't the end of the world, but titles that don't clearly explain what you're asking about will tend to be overlooked or outright scorned. As someone with a bad habit of structuring sentences in reverse order, I understand your desire to communicate in a way that feels natural.
Glad to have you in the community.
Yeaah, true
Thanks a lot!
