I've been buying a ton of shit since I moved into a rental. It feels like it might be impulsive, but I get stuff with utility that will last 5-10 years
easy rule of thumb, wait 2 weeks and if you still remember that thing then go ahead and buy it.

yeah that's the point, you'll likely completely forget about it and thus there's no need to buy the thing.
