I gotta be honest, i don’t understand that reference 草, my Japanese skills are still elementary. “ご苦労サンバ” lead me to a song, but probably I need some cultural context to get it.

Also instead of お疲れ様でした you can throw out an equally stupid gag カツカレー山でした～ and then feel sorry for your interlocutor
I love humor that throws you off, definitely using the カツカレー one irl, even though I might end up looking like an idiot.
