Hey guys. After discussing with our lovely sysadmin @tedvdb@feddit.nl earlier, I thought it's time we gathered to discuss our little community here. feddit.nl has been through some tough times, but it's still up and strong! Let's look into helping it solidify even more.

How have you been liking Lemmy so far? Would you like it if feddit.nl offered different interfaces like Photon and Voyager? Isn't the trending communities bot really cool? ;)

Please feel free to let us know what we can do to help this instance thrive, and maybe tell us a little about your day, heh heh heh.

And of course, creating content, as well as sharing with others you know, goes a long way!

Try these UI's - they provide a more modern look for whatever instance you are on:

The blocking of instances is coming with lemmy v0.19 which should be out in a couple of weeks. Some mobile apps already provide this: both !boostforlemmy@lemmy.world as !lemmyconnect@lemmy.ca support it.

I like how the initial idea was for you to be on the feddit.nl admin team to have someone in the US timezone. Just for emergency situations. But you can't help it to step up 🫡

Not Photon it seems, but you can use Alexandrite or any other mobile or web client. We'll discuss offering Photon as an alternative interface on Feddit.nl

Yes you can use any instance on phtn.app - on Lemmy World we have https://p.lemmy.world

I tried https://p.feddit.nl/ but it did not work.

Anyway, I’ll live with the current ui, no worries.

No because it's not installed. You can use https://phtn.app and add your feddit.nl account

https://p.lemmy.world works because we set it up but it's not a default. Sorry for the confusion

Thanks for the explanation. I see that feddit.nl now has Photon installed and is ready to be used! Nice.
