Microsoft is increasing the monthly prices of its Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions for the first time next month, which will see the base Game Pass subscription for console move up to $10.99 a month from $9.99.

Microsoft is increasing its Xbox Series X prices in most countries in August apart from the US, Japan, Chile, Brazil, and Colombia.

Damn living in Canada! Why does the US always get spared from these things??

Xbox Series S pricing will not be adjusted in any market

At least the entry level console will still be cheap

I hear ya. I'm still adjusting to paying over $100 Canadian for a new game 💸💸💸. At least on the switch I can set my province to Alberta to save some taxes.

Game pass has been a savior for me in regards to that. With how expensive cost of living is right now buying new games aren't at the top of the list unfortunately.

They're increasing the price of game pass as well. Hopefully not too much in your area, 10% in the States.

I couldn't tell you. I think you can get a year pass right now and it'll put off the price increase for that time. I wish they'd let current subscribers keep going at the current price (grandfather), but I think Microsoft wants the money what with trying to acquire actishiton-(corpse puppet of)blizzard.
