I may be being stupid here but is there a way to click on an article/post and cross post it to another relevant group/magazine? I'd rather not have to copy and paste it all, it would help with community visibility if you could cross post from smaller communities to larger ones.

Edit: editted post title to add 'in kbin' for clarity

The second icon below your post is the crosspost icon next to the star, click it, select a different community and you're done

I'm not seeing either the crosspost icon or the star anywhere on my threads or posts?

The guy that responded to you uses a Lemmy-based instance, and you're on a kbin one. I don't think kbin has cross posting yet.

Ah thank you! I did wonder, I think adding crossposting to kbin would be really helpful to growth

What does the cross posting mean? I'm on kbin too

[-] Jcb2016@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

It includes the original poster so after you crosspost you are giving them credit for the post

Usually it means that you can duplicate a post or article onto another group/magazine that's relevant without having to copy and paste. It should be a one button copy.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't notice you were on kbin, hope they implement it soon

[-] Ni@kbin.social 2 points 1 year ago

No problem, I thought I'd added it to the post - but missed it out!

It's a post on AskKbin titled "How do I crosspost in kbin" lol

[-] AntBas@eslemmy.es 3 points 1 year ago

That was edited after the fact.

Yep I edited after the fact for clarity!

I created @BestOf and/or https://kbin.social/m/BestOf and have just gotten familiar with crossposting in kbin. The best I could figure out is 'copy url to fediverse' and pasting it in the 'Submit new link' window.
