[Request] Remove ads from Duolingo? (sh.itjust.works)

I'm on android and I'm wondering if there's any way to skip the ads without getting premium? I don't need the premium features necessarily but I hate the ads interrupting my practice. Anyone have any reliable leads? Thank you.

Just created a duolingo account myself to check, the patch is indeed broken :/

did you find any alternative?

Haven't tried it yet but it's starting to look like I should open a French school.
