They should just outright ban the app. Will never happen though.
Requiring a usable mobile site could be a compromise.
That's something that should apply to all of them. It's stupid that things like Facebook Messenger don't work on mobile now.
For messaging on Facebook without the app: mbasic.facebook.com
It sucks, but it works.
ig is way worse for the population.
Seems like they're trying to comply. They know the world does not trust China.
