Iam still anti sailing, I too have watched all the videos and q&a. For me, it just doesn't look that fun, if I wanted to sail around, I would play assassin's Creed black flag or something similar. But I still hope, they can make it into a fun skill that I enjoy.
I, like you, really liked shamanism! It just looked like it would fit in way better, and I really liked the concept of it!
