It was for a while. Then they stopped taxing the wealthy and opened loophole after loophole for corporations.
On a good day, the US is a developed country in decline.
its developed in certain portions of a country, while in most other areas its poorly developed.
In those certain portions people still need to be rich enough to be able to access healthcare and education.
