How about no hardware attestation at all?
I would second this. Unfortunately the EU legislators would not. For now, open non-discriminatory attestation is the best we can realistically hope for. With work and effort, we can get to a place where non corrupt politicians get enough power to dislodge the corpo authoritarian interests enough that we get actually sensible laws.
And even that is a very far cry from what I actually want.
Welp they now have to protect us from all the cybercriminals in possession of citizen data after they failed to secure their systems.
