Pickled all my garden beans, was gonna save some by freezing for a family dinner, but the recipe I used called for 1.5lbs, and well I had exactly 700grams, so I used them all.
@SchmidtGenetics@BuckFutter I'm In Bruce Mines, Ontario. From Toronto. So this drought thing is new to me. Will you share the best drought-tolerant plants? Especially natives? Or do you have a page somewhere else?
@SchmidtGenetics Most of what I've seen in the same 6 plants over and over. I can't believe in a country this vast, there isn't a ton more. I did hear one yesterday, a wild prairie turnip. Blue flowers, perennial.
Lots of plants are just varieties and cultivars of others, there shouldn’t be a lot of native plants in each particular geographical area. There’s thousands of non-natives though, and some invasive brought in from travelers and what not.

A lot of cities in Canada have great Resource pages for stuff like this it’s all deepening on you local area. And even microclimates can affect it.
Even Fish creek park has one, although it’s not much. Can atleast look up the plants with the names though.
