I've always been curious about this concept. Does this technically mean it's impossible to proclaim someone the biggest loser in the world? If you're the biggest loser, you are the best possible cautionary example. But then that means you serve a purpose, which would logically mean that the second biggest loser overtakes you in the loser competition and is actually worse. But now that person is the best cautionary example, and so they lose their lead again - and it goes on like this in an infinite loop. So can the biggest loser only ever be proclaimed in the form of a tied pair?
Of course, I don't really like the term loser and don't necessarily believe in the concept or think it's constructive, for the record. But it's an interesting thought experiment.
