CBT has worked very well for me and my (C)PTSD... its essentially a westernized version of the core of some Zen practices, sort of.
And yep, DBT is a sort of variant/evolution of DBT that involves different techniques, different sort of schedule... and apparently uses ... essentially 'stronger' sort of human hacks, basically, that can bring calm and help build internal structure/stability, via what I'd call funny quirks of human neuro-physiology, as well as basically being a structured space to process older traumas / intense emotions in.
CBT and DBT are also neat in that they are actually considerably empirically verified to actually work in their use cases, and at least CBT, hell I think nearly anyone who is frequently just stressed out could be helped by learning CBT, being taken through a few rounds of it till you can learn how to do it yourself.
