It is a question that i love to ask. Thanks for your answer.
Since i challenged myself to use as must as open-source software as possible, i am mad at the quality and potential that is found in foss versus proprietary. I hate ads, subscription, login in so my info can be sold, so that i can be called 4/5 time a day to sell me stupid crap.
I wanted to see what kind of software was in use in Minneapolis during the resistance against ice, the only in-depth account of such niche info i could access was crimetheinc (anarchist website)
I looked around, they have a podcast called the ex-worker. Quite funny to listen to that while commuting to work.
At work (IT), i could literally increase the productivty of at least myself by a 100 in a secure way if able to. (ansible, key based security, etc) But no, workload keep increasing, no ability to organise my work, forced to do the stupidest stuff ever cause, because. And all the time, i am responsible if anything happen. Both expert and inexperienced grunt. Verbal, moral abuse as well. Yeah burnout before 30. 100% work related, certified fresh.
Funny enough, i became the ex-worker.
The thing that helped me was of course a supportive as hell significant other, doctor, psychologist and friends that lived, live or will be in the same situation as me... Lots of them, it is quite scary, across lots of fields.
And "stories of monk and robot" of becky chamber. While not explicitly anarchist, it does fit the bill very well and describe a futur worth fighting for.
I already was snooping around leftist media. That helped with though like "i abandoned my colleagues", "i do not want to be a charge of society","i am a manly man, i will return asap" That serves no purpose except being more exploitable and slow down recovery.
OFC stuff like climate change, surveillance state, books, violence, every time a politician is in trouble the tv talk about immigration or burkini saying dumber and dumber shit, feminism, sexism, homophobia, mazan trials, activist répression, billionaires.
Nothing is "normal" or "always has been the case". Be critical of the movement and each other, reflect and growth together. All power to all the people.
