They're talking about being treated better for a shitty reason and watching others who need that treatment not get it because they suck less.

It's not just that single part of that single comment completely isolated from context. Like yes, if the quoted part was the only thing this user ever said, I would have no problem with it. Here's a response from elsewhere in this thread. It and its responses should fill in the rest.

I don't disagree with any of that. What I disagree is the overall thesis that "Nah, not all of us are going to sell you a line of shit." (I said "excuses", not shit.) You are, in this thread, selling me your excuses for joining. And it really didn't take much pushback to get you going. So even if you've made some progress, you clearly have some pro-Empire baggage to work on.
