CinemaSins - it just became cringe
Good Mythical Morning - too 'producrd' and they started doing gross shit
Mysterious Universe (YouTube and podcast) - They became rightwing antivax, anti-abortion, anti-mask, homophobic, transphobic, racist losers over the course of 2 years after COVID.
I used to love GMM, even went to a couple of their live shows and got a shirt/hoody but I stopped watching when every video became a food video. Now that they've stopped doing Ear Biscuits they don't have a lot of content for me.
They seem like great guys and have been very open about why they do things the way they do. It’s a business at this point and they'll do what gets views. Having been a fan for a long time, seeing their various content and reading their books I know they have much better content they could make than currently do, even if it didn't have mass appeal.
May I recommend CinemaWins? They focus on more positive aspects of the movies and they don't rely on overused jokes for half their content.
CinemaSins is outright garbage, though it takes watching some EPs on movies you actually know to see that. Most people hate-watch EPs about movies they'd never watch, so the formula works I guess.
CinemaWins gets that watch time now.
MU was a wtf for me. I dropped off years ago then came back to find the original host/hosts’ farewell. That ended up giving a pretty clear hint of what it became. Their follow up podcast didn’t seem to pan out either which took them even deeper into the rabbit hole.
Good Mythical Morning because 98% of their stuff was just eating shit
