Mine has a transparent purple shell swap (I kept the original buttons), and a decksight screen upgrade.
I’ve thought about doing a transparent purple shell swap. Very reminiscent of the old GameBoy Color case.
Yes I love the retro look. I'm happy that transparent electronics are making a bit of a comeback. I'd say it's worth doing, although It was a pretty involved install process. I don't know if I would have done it if I wasn't also replacing the screen at the same time - it's basically a complete teardown.
