Did Forgotten Weapons ever get that way? I liked his historical backgrounds and detailed breakdown of the mechanics of the actions.

I don't think I've ever seen Ian touch on any political topic other than those directly pertinent to whatever he has on the bench in front of him at that exact moment, and even then he's been 100% factual without appearing to insert any type of opinion into it. It's really rather astonishing how he manages to do that so consistently especially given the nature of, well, all of his peers.

Does Ian still hang out with Karl from InRangeTV? Because InRangeTV now does a ton of civil rights historical content. I suspect that might speak of Ian’s politics if they’re still friends.

I think Karl and Ian had a falling out over Ian's desire to avoid politics, not over his politics per se. I haven't seen anything lately than suggests they ever hang out anymore. Ian still goes to shooting events Karl is involved in, I think, so it can't be too acrimonious.
