Any time you pause it or rewind it or sneeze it throws the "EXO failed to play this video" error.

That's WHEN it decides to play sound.

I noticed they said they aren't worried about fixing it on github??

What is going on here?

I'm using a shield tv pro and it acts like this on my gaming PC too always freezing and making me force shut it down.

Did something happen with stremio lately?

Edit: anyone know of any viable alternatives that don't require learning hours of self hosting stuff like Jellyfin?

Sure but then you are just paying somone else to do the piracy for you. I guess it's cheaper than proper subscriptions but I feel somewhat ideologically opposed to these pay for piracy services that just leech from the ecosystem.
