MKBHD, the guy who gloated about driving way to fast in a quiet road section next to a school?
Wow, you could say he's a capitalist bootlicker, who never actually criticizes the free products he gets from companies. Or a populist who ignores the actual important information about things he reviews and focuses on the materials and how they make him feel (like almost all reviewers).
But the "Oh no, he is able to drive and occasionally speeds like everyone else." isn't really a problem.
But he is an idiot, who posted it on the internet. That's just stupid.
If the situation really was "speeds like everyone else," you're right that it wouldn't be a problem. 5 to 10 mph over is that range, maybe 15 in the right conditions. He posted himself going 96 mph in a 35 mph school zone (155 kph and 56 kph respectively for our metric brethren), which would still be a massive problem even without the school zone part. It's extreme enough to no longer be about one incident but the mindset persisting behind it.
He could have endangered pupils, that is way serious than his bootlicking, heck even more serious than his grift with Panels.
We all make mistakes in life because no one is perfect. The important thing is to learn from them. If you tell me that you're perfect and have never made mistakes, I know you're lying.
He literally blurred out the speedo after the fact. This isn’t learning a lesson, this is getting caught and doing damage control. Fuck him.
Oh I am far from perfect and commit so many mistakes... but I don't obscure them and post them for clout!
