Doesn't need to be confiscated. Just stop sales and the number goes down over time.

And before you start, you don't have to stop all sales. We can start with the ones that have potential to kill the most.

Firearms are known to last over a hundred years and can be rebuilt, they don’t just magically go away when sales stop.

And as I mentioned in another comment, In the United States firearms don’t have to be registered, as far as I know this applies federally, may differ per state, how do you plan to track something with no traceability?
