I use Remington, they are cheap but still good quality. I actually have two, a normal one that can go to 230° in 30 seconds, and one that can straighten wet hair and dry it at the same time, but it needs to prepare for several minutes.
Nr 1 is S9600, costs 30 Eur. Nr 2 is Wet2Straight, costs 25 Eur, can't be used with dry hair at all though due to the way it's constructed (despite the claims on the package it would work)
I love the idea of a wet to dry. I'm going to look into the Remington.
Yes it's super convenient. I spray a heat protection spray on before just like I would with the normal flat iron to be safe and it has not damaged my hair in any way after using it for a bit over a year.
