MODERATORS
Personally I wouldn't say that curiosity in general is linked it to, but rather the combination of special interests, often being detailed-oriented, and (at least for me) the need to understand the how and why for whatever I'm doing drives curiosity (or least a greater level of questioning and learning than typical) in specific contexts/situations/topics.
