Yeah, temperature is weird like that.

I'm an American, but one with an education and an appreciation for the one true system, SI, which is pretty close to metric.

Meters and kilograms make total sense to me, even if I'm conditioned to think in feet and pounds. But temperatures in Celsius just don't click. I have to consciously try to remember some equivalent Fahrenheit values to get a feel for it.

If you told me the barometric pressure in Pascals I'd literally understand that more quickly, since I deal with pressure measurements and settings at work.

Yeah I donโ€™t use pressure that much so no โ€œmuscle memoryโ€ to confuse me. And come to think of it I use metric torque (Nโ€ขm โ€ฆ well more like Nโ€ขcm with the stepper motors I use).

I always thought SI was the modern metric system and not the antiquated thing the French came up with 200 years ago.
