I do it whenever I’m becalmed.

If you have the inspection hole cutout you can use that as paddle stowage.

The stroke is either an alternating one or a canoe “J” stroke.

I’ve done it kinda kneeling in the footwell, sitting aft of the footwell with my feet in it and what was most comfortable, kneeling on the aft portion with the rudder up.

That last one worked best because it’s how you handle a canoe solo to avoid going in a circle.
