Wear long trousers and socks.
Its so hot though, and doesn't even guarantee not getting one. Most of the ones I find days later are under where clothing was.
Also doesn't help that they are absolutely tiny. I can run my hands over my legs and easily miss one until a while later.
You find them regularly?
If you live or work in an area where you encounter long grass or regularly brush up against vegetation, it's a thing.
Treating clothing with permethrin reduces but does not eliminate risk.
