Imagine Zorro in medieval Europe. It's a family-friendly adventure movie. The princess matters, but you'll remember the movie for the duals, light humour, scenery and other characters. The sword fight was amazing at the time, and Andre the Giant plays a Giant.

It's for kids, so set your expectations to "live action cartoon". Billy Crystal plays a role so he was probably a high point for the parents.
