Fare increase effective July 1 to $3.25 for a single adult trip. Prices to rise again in January 2027.

I agree, however the concern would be that the free buses would be utilized as rolling homeless shelters.

then nobody that needs to use it for transit will want to and less will choose to, so it doesn't fix the problem
