Wow that's stupid. Harm reduction is thing, and two problems can exist at the same time.
Harm reduction is not a thing. Harm reduction is bullshit that liberals tell themselves because they know that what they support is evil. What they support is harm.
Tell me you don't know shit about how the US elections work without telling me you don't know shit about how the US elections work.
In a general election, there are exactly 2 candidates who have a chance of becoming president. Just 2. You can tout 3rd parties all day long, but there are never going to be enough people voting for one for that to be viable. So, you can stick your thumbs in your ears, shout "LALALALALA", and vote for the 3rd-party candidate who your conscience favors, with the result that the worst person has a better shot of becoming president, or you can put your big boy pants on and vote for the only person who has a shot of winning that is not going to plunge the country into a fascist dictatorship.
Harm reduction. You think Kamala Harris would have opened dozens of concentration camps or sent ICE into cities to antagonize and terrorize people? You think she'd have appointed dipshits to every single cabinet position and appointed a Russian spy to be the fucking director of national intelligence? You think she'd have sued the IRS and forced them to agree to set up a 1.8 billion dollar fund to pay out to traitors?
No. Of fucking course she wouldn't. Harm fucking reduction.
Harm reduction is doing your best to avoid the spillover that will inevitably occur when you take violent action against the root of the problem. The people who vote for and support this are still human regardless of how inhuman they behave. They still have families that may or may not be as irredeemable as they are. Some of the them have children. If we wipe them out en masse, family and all, what does that say about us?
But what needs done needs done and it’s the individuals that do that will have to live with the choices they make. Future generations will have to weigh whether our acts were noble and just or morally compromised and leaning towards revenge. Personally, I’m fine with revenge clearing the board, the better of us can figure out what to do with a clean slate and a clean conscience.
