Well no, since our entire solar system is also moving. While we may return to a point that's similar to last year relative to the sun, we've still moved in relation to everything outside that frame.
Think of a car moving down the highway and you're in the back seat. You scoot over to the other side, throw some trash out the window, then scoot back. In relation to the car you're back where you started, in relation to the trash you threw... You're down the highway you filthy litterer.
Our galaxy is also moving through the greater universe, so those ghosts will be long dead ghost corpses floating still in the greater void if/when earth ever swings by again.
Then do they eventually disintegrate? What becomes of them? Do they eventually turn into... dark matter?!
Somebody call science. NOW! We just broke this shit wide open.
